Invite people and RSVP

An event can have participants. When you save it, VNCmail+ sends them an invitation they can answer (RSVP) without leaving their mail.

  1. Open the Calendar and select + Create event.
  2. In Participants, type an email address or search contacts and choose the person — they appear as a chip (remove one with its ×).
  3. Check the time works: Check Availability shows the attendees’ free/busy, and Find a time suggests a slot that suits everyone.
  4. To let someone else book a slot with you, select Copy booking link and send it.
  5. Save. With Send invitations on, each participant gets the invitation.

When someone invites you, the event appears in your calendar with the organizer’s name. Reply to organizer with your answer — accepted, tentative or declined — and the organizer sees the count per status. The organizer chip is marked organizer; you cannot invite on a series you do not own.

An .ics invitation attached to a message is recognised, so you can RSVP or import it straight from the mail, without opening the calendar.

Changing the time, place or participants of an event and saving sends an updated invitation to everyone; deleting it (or one occurrence of a recurring series) sends a cancellation to the affected people.
