History (tagged RECENT MERGES AND RECORDED ACTIONS) is the address book’s audit trail. Search merges & actions… filters it.
Merge history
Section titled “Merge history”| Column | Shows |

| Survivor (A) | The record that was kept. |
| Merged (B) | The record that was merged away. |
| By | Who performed the merge. |
| Detail | What changed. |
| When | When it happened. |
Merges come from Possible duplicates. Until something is merged the section reads No merges yet.
Audit log
Section titled “Audit log”| Column | Shows |

| Action | What was done. |
| Target | The affected record. |
| By / When | Who did it and when. |
Use it to answer who changed or merged this record, and when.
