Subscribe to, or mute, a channel

Subscribing keeps a channel in your sidebar and feeds its activity into your home page. You can still silence a channel without leaving it.

Steps

1. Open the channel.
2. In the channel header, select Subscribe. The button changes to Subscribed.
3. To control alerts, open the Details rail and use Notifications: All topics, Mentions, or Muted.

Result

A subscribed channel is listed under Subscribed in the sidebar. A muted channel still receives new topics but no longer alerts you.
