Share a file by link
Besides sharing with named people, a file or folder can be shared by a link — for people who are not in the suite.
Create a link
Section titled “Create a link”Open the item’s ⋯ menu and choose Share link…. A link lets anyone with the link open the item. You can add, all enforced server-side:
- a password,
- an expiry (days;
0= never), - a download limit (
0= unlimited), - a single-use flag,
- View only — the item opens in an inline preview with no download, and
- Watermark — overlay text (for example the recipient’s name) on the preview.
Remove a link
Section titled “Remove a link”Revoke the link from the same place; it stops working immediately.
