Create a linked task or work item

A topic can spawn work in the connected products, so the discussion and the work stay linked.

Steps

1. Open the topic.
2. Under Linked items, select Create task (opens VNCtask+) or Create work item (opens VNCproject+).
3. Give the item its title and details there. The new item is linked back to the topic.
4. To relate one topic to another, use + Link a topic under Related. Its author or a moderator can unlink a related topic again from the same place.

Result

The created item appears under Linked items on the topic, and the topic appears in the item’s links, so the record and the work point at each other.
